mizuno wave run

i wasnt confident this early mornin cos i missed cbd run last tues and was in sch camp the entire of last week... futhermore i slept pretty late due to my friend's 21st bday yesterday... all factors adds up to an uncomfortable feeling of panick and laziness (oppz)... but well, i tot i'll jus wag it la, willnt die... keke

i was welcomed by junie's gesture as i was lookin for familiar faces in the already buzzy sgrunner crowd. we went to get our lucky draw coupons and slipped them into the boxes...

stretched a bit and i saw alec somewhere, waved to him, bend down to stretch my legs again, got up and he was gone... he is like some mysterious being, so much more comfortable hidden in front of the comp replyin in forum than in an actual event with a large crowd... i started to intro him to the rest of the sg crowd, to help him match faces to the nicks he sees in the forum... guess it must b a surreal kinda feeling for him, from virtual--> reality...

we all soon gathered at the startin point of the run and started when prompted... i was joggin wif meteor initially... then she ran fast ahead... then it was shut... he ran ahead of me at some distance too... after kickjazz and aichai ran past me too... i carried on runnin, lookin ard for good-lookin, healthy hunks... i wonder how chunky dragonboaters run, some beef-cakes actually look quite scary close-up... *jokes!

mizuno run was quite a run of scents... first i smelled rubbish, guess i was near some dumpin ground... then it was awful, bitterish exhaust... ok, plus some sourish sweating bodies... *chokes!

i met junie and roonz soon... and i was already having a blister at the palm of my right feet... i was so sian, like why-the-hell a blister... i dun even get one during cbd run... a bit tu-lan but guess i will hav to finish the run nonetheless... junie and roonz was nice to accompany me through the last few kms...

reached the finish line soon after and checked out the time board at the side... 1hr 10mins... not fanastic at all, but at least its something to gauge myself... bee told me i was runnin too fast initially... ok! note taken...

junie, roonz and charmane offered to lend me their sandles! wow... so touched... i can actually choose?!?! what privilege man... i will remember to bring sandles for runs next time! my blister was actually about the size of a one dollar coin... i dun hav such huge blister be4 leh... and its only a 10km run, more blisters and black toe nails to come? *grasps

we went to the nearby azeena resturant for prata, teh n 100plus... good time resting, catching up and hear some stories...

me, roonz and daisiki went to orchard to shop for a before heading home.... daisiki left earlier while i accompanied roonz to get her very chio runnin top... did my market update on sports apparels too... wah... i want to buy many many pretty things... its a good reminder for me to graduate fast n get my ass in the workforce to generate some money... i sound so materialistic... tsk tsk... but ah, who want to work n not spend?

it was a good run! it was also my first runnin event! and i was wif the sgrunners!
